![]() ![]() ![]() Ashley was very young and still working on more degrees. She had over 20 years experience teaching young children. My son was with this previous Suzuki piano teacher for two years and they had a wonderful relationship. There is a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. I am appalled and have never been treated so poorly. They don't seem to care about their students/parents' feedback. Vivaldi has lots of instructors and lots of students. The following Monday, we noticed a refund to our credit card and we did not get a reminder before our lesson like we did every week. I figured I would speak with her at our next lesson. The girl in the front Lauren has always been very kind to us. Then when I asked for her name again, she hung up on me. She did not listen to anything I said and continued to talk over me that their studio is not a good fit for us and continued being condescending. When I asked for the manager for her name several times, she avoided and refused to tell me. Instead of asking and listening to our concerns, she automatically blamed us. She continued to say their instructors are the best and it was my son that was not a good fit. The manager blatantly conveyed their studio was not a good fit for my son and told us to go elsewhere. The manager continued being rude even after I said we didn't want to quit and I wanted to give Ms. Ashley which was why I asked subtlety if we could adjust the curriculum or make changes to help get my son more engaged. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to upset Ms. Ashley was very technical and her approach seemed to be better suited for an older kid in middle or high school. My husband took our son to one lesson and noted his concerns as well. I told her I thought it was important to have open conversations about progress, concerns, and feedback to instructors. Ashley, someone from Vivaldi called me saying they were the manager and was concerned my son was getting what he needed there and that she would be happy to help us find another studio. We spoke for a majority of my son's lesson and I was trying to keep an open mind to how things would work out. She asked me what I wanted and I replied that I wanted her insights and thoughts from her experience instructing him. I told her my concerns and asked her for her suggestions on what changes we could make. It seemed like they were going over the same thing in each class and not making progress. My son seemed to have lost interest practicing and was not paying attention in class. After one month, I noticed we made very little progress. ![]() She said if it didn't work out with the new teacher, we could always try another teacher. The receptionists at the front, Lauren, was very nice and suggested Ms. We were asked to look at their faculty and chose another instructor. Artem would no longer be teacher there and it would be the last lesson with him. After one month of lessons, we were abruptly notified the day of his lesson that Mr. Artem taught him techniques which helped him better move his little hands. He wanted to learn to play Moonlight Sonata which was a more advance piece for his development little hands. My son had previously taken lessons for two years with another teacher. We signed our five year old son up for piano lessons at Vivaldi Music Academy in Bellaire in early July. We hope your children continue music and wish your family all the best! Fortunately, we were able to take this time during remote lessons to revamp the app's user experience, and these changes did increase the availability for make-ups lesson spots. We have a waitlist for families with new students so that we can find the best lesson time for their schedules.Īs for the mobile app, we were excited to introduce this application to our students in January 2020- it's primary use was to be able to quickly and easily reschedule missed lessons. The quick transition we then had to make to online lessons a couple months later, however, combined with many families having to miss lessons in the interim, muddied the process. To better address your scheduling concern, we are open seven days a week, always available by phone for inquiries or concerns. We enjoyed having your family with Vivaldi Music Academy for a year and watching your children achieve their musical milestones. Hi Ravi, thank you for taking the time to review us!
